Lab testing |
|
 |
The INOTIS lab has been equipped with the latest testing equipment to serve the following objectives :
1.internal quality control (incoming and outgoing control, production monitoring, product development)
2. to serve as reference lab for the algerian and neighbouring countries
3. to help customers in understanding fabric quality on their challenge to produce products which comply with the specific legal and market requirements.
|
1. For the cleanroom fabric this means that we monitor f.e. water and air cleanliness as well as particle count.
2. For the surgical apparel fabric for Europe f.e. this means we perform tests which have relevance in the context of the new European Standard EN 13795. This will help customers to understand their final product. For this product they will be looking for CE-marking for which the final product will need to satisfy the new performance requirements and performance levels set out by EN 13795. For as far as this can be relevant to our customer, our lab testing can help them understanding the role of INOTIS fabric in their final product testing.

FX 3000 Hydrostatic Head Tester III |
TEST OF RESISTANCE TO LIQUID PENETRATION
EN 20811 / ISO 811
This test method evaluates the behaviour of the fabric structure under increasing hydrostatic pressure. When sufficient pressure is applied, water will penetrate the fabric and liquid strike-through occurs. Protection against contamination due to liquid penetrating surgical garments is of critical importance for both staff and patients.
FX 3000 Hydrostatic Head Tester III (Textest instruments)
This instrument is used for fast, accurate and automatic determination of the resistance of the nonwoven fabric to water penetration by means of the dynamic test method, the static test method, and the program test method.

TEST FOR LINTING AND CLEANLINESS PARTICULATE MATTER
ISO 9073-10
The test method for linting and cleanliness particulate matter measures the amount of particles of sizes between 3-25 um released from the product while subjected to mechanical agitation. This test evaluates linting only for particle sizes 3-25 um as particles of this size are considered capable of carrying micro-organisms.
Gelbo Flex Tester with Particle Counter (IDM Instruments)
Testing device to ascertain the amount of loose fibres (lint) to shed from nonwoven material in a 30-second time period of flexing. While the sample is being subjected to repetitive twisting and compression cycles on the Gelbo Flex Tester, air is withdrawn from the testing chamber and the particles in the air stream are counted and classified on the particle counter. The instrument consists of 3 compartments: the motor and control area, the flexing chamber and air collector, and the Particle Counter. Testing is conducted with the 2 mandresl (one fixed and the other moveable) performing the flexing action. The air is collected from the intake probe, through a flexible duct hose, and sent to the Particle Counter for evalutation of results. The Parcticle Counter features 6 channels thresholds, with sizing ranging from 0.3 to 25 microns. It is able to store up to 3000 samples, and enables fast data collection by a built-in thermal printer. |

Eclatomètre TRUBURST |
TEST OF BURSTING STRENGTH
EN ISO 13938
This test method determines the resistance of a fabric to puncture. Some areas of surgical garments may be subject to puncture stress during use in the operating theatre. For example, the surgeon’s elbow or instruments used in the operation may cause damage by exerting pressure on small areas of the fabric.
TruBurst bursting Strength Tester (James H.Heal)
Automatically calculates the true bursting strength of the sample based on the diaphragm's distension. The TruBurst tester incorporates a high-acceleration linear potentiometer to attain an accuracy of ±0.5% at distensions up to 70 mm. To achieve bursting within a specified time, a digital microprocessor monitors and adjusts a proportional control valve to maintain a linear pressure rate rise. By replacing the manual adjustment of flow control valves with a digital system, repeatability is enhanced. Although medical device testing protocols traditionally call for the use of hydraulic instruments to determine burst strength, the TruBurst unit combines the performance of hydraulic burst strength testers with the operational benefits of a pneumatic system.

TEST OF TENSILE STRENGTH
EN 29073 -3
Test method determining the ability of a fabric to withstand fabric tear. This type of stress can occur, for instance, when gowns that are too small are worn.
DO-FBO.5TH dynamomètre (ZWICK / ROELL)
Tensile testing instrument capable of measuring the tear resistance and elongation of nonwovens in the various directions. |

FX 3300 TESTEUR DE PERMEABILITE A L'AIR |
TEST OF AIR PERMEABILITY
EN ISO 9237
The test measures the rate and volume of air flow through a fabric under a prescribed surface pressure differential of 0.78 inches (about 1.98 cm) of water gauge pressure.
FX 3300 Air Permeability Tester III (Textest Instruments)
The TEXTEST FX 3300 Air Permeability Tester III is used for fast, simple, and accurate determination of the air permeability of all kinds of flat materials. The measuring range covers dense papers as well as extremely open non-wovens and forming fabrics
